Angels in Disguise charity concert celebrates the gift on Down Syndrome individuals and their ability to enrich our lives, inform our souls and warm our hearts. The event features an ensemble of world-class musicians who have performed for millions of people across the globe.
We are excited to welcome Eric Genius, William Pfund, Alexandra Early, Alena Merimee, Linda Easter and the Louisville String Orchestra to this event. Since 1997, Eric Genius has been performing throughout the world in countries including the United States, Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany and Poland. Having recently recorded with the famed Maestro Allan Wilson of London, England and the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra, he is currently touring the United States and this event will be his first performance in Louisville. Mr. Genius' daughter, Anastasia, has Down Syndrome and has been inspirational in many of his recordings. Mr. Genius has graciously donated his unparalleled talents for Angels in Disguise in hopes to share the personal wonder, passion, blessing, joy, and treasure Down syndrome has gifted him.
Louisville's own, Byron Lunkins, will also perform for Angels in Disguise. Byron was recently named citizen of the year by Down Syndrome of Louisville and has been playing the piano since the age of four. Byron is an extremely talented musician with Down syndrome.
Eric Genuis and Angels in Disguise will change hearts, minds and lives in the Louisville area. A must see and hear event for contemporary music lovers, the most sophisticated classical musicians or anyone looking to have their ears pleased and heart touched.
